Founder/Co-Founder “Only Frank” has been a Humen for 40 years! Before that he played in JAMBO/70’s, SKY/ late 70’s-early 80’s, LIONS/ mid 80’s and in 1986 formed OH with Ray Wood. He is an inductee in the Buffalo Music Hall Of Fame 3x for Bass guitar (1991)/ Only Humen(1995)/& his association as producer and 3rd member of The Dooley’s(2022) along with Paul Swisher & Greg Opalinski. OF is a proud recipient of an EMMY for his 8 instrumentals written for a PBS Documentary “ Uniform Betrayal: Rape In The Military”. Also an author- “Only Gambling-Only Frank” Amazon Books and is currently in the process of producing a musical he wrote in its entirety called “Ireland:Emerald to Gold”. He has also served as studio producer for Only Humen, Michael “BLY” Santa Maria, The Dooleys and many more artists.

Founder & Co-Founder with Only Frank back in 1986. After 10 years guitarist, vocalist & songwriter “Only Ray” moved to Utah and has since moved back, playing as an acoustic duo with Jeff Munzert as “Two Hills” and on occasion, once again, with Only Humen.

Maz came highly recommended as a superb drummer and a talented singer, making him a perfect candidate for the drumming/singing Humen position!

Guitarist extraordinaire, Koobs played with many locals including “Strictly Hip” (Tragically Hip Tribute) before jamming with OH and has since moved to Florida playing in a band down there.

Drummer vocalist Magic Mark was a pleasure to have for his duration with OH. I wish there were more like him.

Buffalo native now transplanted to Rochester, NY, Mark plays with several bands (Nick & The Nice Guys) and fills in on many occasions for OH.

OF, The Animal(RIP) & Mick formed a super group that wowed audiences everywhere!

Marty was an ample guitar, vocal replacement for his predecessor and a joy to work with. Maria Sebastian is a talent in her own right for the short time she was in OH (due to the pandemic) She has traveled as back up singer for The 10,000 Maniacs and played with Buffalo native drummer Gary Mallaber.

OF has played with Ken (RIP) since the inception of JAMBO in the early ‘70s. He was in and out of OH over the years as guitarist/vocalist and is a BMHOF inductee (1984) as well.

8 Pieces of instrumental background music serving as the emotional blanket for the interviews conducted by Sarah Pusateri Robinson and Jennifer Molina, traveled around the world stopping at the various film festivals and collecting an EMMY for the trouble.

I hooked up with Jimmy while preparing to be the opening act for a 70’s band “FOGHAT” (Slow Ride, Fool For The City, Driven’ Wheel, I Just Wanna Make Love To You & many others) with “Lonesome Dave” Peverett still in the band (RIP). Our drummer was late due to car trouble and I went into the audience and shouted “Are there any pro drummers out here that can sing? I need you NOW!” Jimmy answered the call and when a drummer was needed in the future, he eventually became a Humen. He moved to Florida and when OH played shows there, I called Jimmy to play. He obliged but unfortunately we lost him too young (RIP).

Only Frank was looking again and mutual friend drummer Chris McMahon said there was this guitarist I should consider. It was future BMA Best Guitarist winner Dustin Francis. eventually he was wooed away by Black Widow and remains there to this day (to my knowledge).

I’ve been fortunate to have some of my family to play in a band or sing together. That’s a blessing in itself. Mr. Chris sings while playing and always has an open door to come perform with OH. He has and is leader to his own band “10 Delaware” which plays occasional shows through WNY area.

While it looks like Santa meets the Buffalo Bills, behind the full white beard belonging to our Mgr, Sound tech, Light Tech, Booking Agent, Middle Man who started with us with JAMBO, thru SKY, LIONS and some OH b4 his retirement, Mike may have been as important to our development as George Martin or Brian Epstein was to The Beatles. He and wife Char (mama) stood behind the various incarnations I was in. THANK YOU. MUCH LOVE!

Of the many versions of OH over the years, there are certain near & dear to the heart that strengthened the bands posture melding it into the WNY music scene. Only Ray, Only Bruce & Only Frank cemented OH into the archives of the BMHOF and WNY’s music scene.

Frankie served as the first drummer (formerly of “Doby Royal”) of Only Humen when many things were uncertain. Only Ray, Only Frank, Ross Falzone, Mike Fien and Frankie were the guys knocking on club doors establishing a strong musical presence in 1986.

Lake Chautauqua was like a 2nd home to OH. The Fish was always good to us especially after The Surf Club closed and was sold.

This was an album OF is extremely fond of, especially after hearing the growth of The Dooleys, Paul & Greg, being supported by Producer/Bassist/Singer Only Frank and introducing them to studio musicians Dick Bauerle/guitar, Bob Volkman/Keyboards and the late great Ted Reinhardt /Drums. Another great combination of Humen’s! Jerry was on sabbatical from world renowned band “10,000 Maniacs” and joined up for about 4 years of dedicated drumming and singing.

OH has been the first “opening act show” for countless national acts including this one with approx. 10,000 in attendance at “Jam In The Valley” Varysburg, NY for Blake Shelton, Sawyer Brown, Charlie Daniels & Only Humen

This is truly an artsy promo pic which was the brainchild of OF. Each member was videotaped VHS (wow!) separately for a few minutes and then repeatedly photographed while 4 VHS machines played them back and this pic was found and chosen!

Younger bro sings like a bird!

OH had several sax players over the years and was gifted when BMHOF Saxman Jack Prybylski graced the stage.

Ross is one of the first five musicians forming OH back in 1986. Still playing today after returning home (Rochester) from a long time excursion to Nashville, Ross plays solo shows all over pushing his original music.

There was a time when I had to make a decision to choose OH or The Dooleys as my primary musical outlet. While I did and still do enjoy the occasional jam with them (March 22,2026 The Cave 4p) I chose OH because it incorporated more of a rock sound. These guys are great!

When The Animal wasn’t able to commit to OH road gigs in Chautauqua due to his work business, I called a friend in Jamestown and asked who could accurately play the shows (No rehearsals)? Without hesitation he responded Jim Foti. He was right. The man has a pocket!

An extremely talented, multifaceted guitar player and vocalist, Izzy had life complications making it difficult to move forward. Best of luck.

Leon came in through the grapevine when Only Frank was putting players on call. Leon played a number of shows and unfortunately injured himself at his day job making him unable to perform. Good luck my friend.

Former Strictly Hip drummer, Johnny played a couple years with OH until he burnt out and took a much needed sabbatical. Best to you.

This was probably the heaviest sounding OH to date. We rocked like crazy!

Huge OH (Only Humen) fan from OH (Ohio), Joannie created the logo which was on our posters and tee shirts. husband Jimmy had a jukebox business boasting 800 units and placed our “Six of One, Half A dozen Of The Other” in a bunch of them. We played a yearly party for them for a number of years. We see them occasionally at their lake home when we play in Chautauqua.

Ironically, as his name may suggest, he was the youngest Humen to hit the stage with OH. A former guitar student of Only Frank, as the years progressed and Jeff’s talent emerged, OF recognized his ability and trained him to play with OH. Jeff has a penchant for much heavier music and wrote songs projecting that desire with his own band.

Early version of OH as a trio, after Mike “Waddy” Watson left the band, replaced by Bobby Wilczak (Actor), who subsequently left the band due to scheduling conflicts and the emergence of OH as a trio. This pic was taken above Mickey Rats City Bar on Main St in the offices of Freddie’s Caserta (RIP) & Saia (RIP) of Great Lakes Booking Agency. Fred Caserta went on to start “Kingdom Bound” at Darien Lake when he became a reborn Christian b4 his passing. Fred Saia managed a bowling pro Tom Baker.

We called this OF inspired work of original art the Crystal Ball shot. A great era for OH historians. I’ve had the boys airbrushed out so I can still use the pic but those are still their hands!

It was always a joy having Jack with us on stage.

Bruce had a great pocket groove on drums and a unique gravelly voice that lent itself to the three part harmonies OH is so noted for. (pun intended lol) He moved away to one of the Virginias a long time ago.

Marty is an amazing in demand drummer destined for the BMHOF. He plays all styles with a number of top bands on call and always pleases! When I called him, Marty came to LionsHeart Recording Studio, during the pandemic to help me record drums for my musical “Ireland:Emerald To Gold”.
